Hi, I’m Khaled Touaibia, a Senior Frontend Engineer based in Tunis, Tunisia. With over five years of experience in web development, I specialize in building responsive, scalable applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js and PostgreSQL.
I’m passionate about creating clean, efficient code and enjoy solving complex challenges with modern technologies like GraphQL, Docker, and Microservices. I thrive in agile environments and love collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful user experiences.
Outside of coding, I’m always eager to learn new tools and techniques to enhance both my technical and personal growth.
Saqara, a leading company in the construction industry in France, entrusted me with both frontend and backend development responsibilities. I lead a key project (Saqara Sign), ensuring smooth communication between systems and optimizing performance. One of my major achievements was overseeing a successful transition to a new version of an essential API, all while maintaining compatibility with existing systems. I work closely with various teams—product, design, and support—to ensure that features are built efficiently and meet the needs of our users. My role also involves improving workflows and supporting the overall development of our platform.
In my earlier role, I helped modernize Saqara’s core platform, which is responsible for a significant portion of the company’s revenue. I introduced new tools and techniques to make the platform more efficient, collaborated with new developers to get them up to speed, and helped maintain a consistent design system across different applications.
At Gaimz, I worked remotely with a distributed team to develop a highly modular and performant social platform. I took ownership of building a Twitch extension that enhanced user engagement by displaying simplified feeds, leading to increased conversion rates for the platform.
I offered consulting services to over six startups, helping them solve technical challenges and optimize workflows. My contributions included working on 10+ projects through all development phases, building a components library that sped up admin panel development by 40%, and improving Swagger UI for faster API development. I also mentored junior developers and conducted technical interviews.
At Trabotyx, I designed the UI for an MVP platform that allowed users to control a robot in real-time. I leveraged Socket.io to handle live data feeds and commands, creating a highly efficient system for monitoring and managing the robot remotely.
I developed complex data visualizations for client energy consumption and revamped the platform's design and architecture, simplifying user workflows. Additionally, I upgraded the Angular-based codebase to the latest version, addressing bugs and improving overall system performance.
I built an internal HR management platform from scratch, delivering a custom solution to manage employee data and streamline administrative processes.
As part of the frontend team, I contributed to the architecture and development of new features, ensuring scalability and enhanced performance under tight deadlines. My role involved decomposing complex codebases for improved maintainability and performance.
At Keyrus, I collaborated with a highly skilled team to build the Orange Digital Store, a digital marketplace launched in several African countries. My contributions were essential to creating a smooth user experience for the operator’s services.
During my internship at Sagemcom, I gained valuable experience in web development, contributing to real-world projects and honing my technical skills in a professional setting.
